Visa Call Center to ReopenPosted on Jun 4, 2004The American Mission in China is pleased to announce the reopening of the Visa Call Center. The Visa Call Center reopened Friday, June 4 at 7:00 a.m., and will be scheduling U.S. visa interview appointments for the following week. Walk-in visa application systems will continue in Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Shenyang through June 4. We advise potential travelers to use the walk-in system on June 4 only if their travel is urgent; otherwise, travelers are encouraged to use the Visa Call Center to schedule an appointment. Beginning June 7 walk-in appointments will no longer be accepted. The Visa Call Center can be reached by dialing 4008-872-333 from anywhere in China. Payment of service charges can be made by buying a pre-paid PIN card at CITIC banks, using a credit card via the Call Center website at www.usavisainformation.com.cn, or by using a postal/bank order. Below is the text for the final paragraph for the web page on the visa call center. Refund PolicyIf you paid to use the Call Center and were unable to use it due to the shutdown and are now not planning to travel to the US, you can receive a refund for your payment.
